Amusements of America is a 79 year old family owned company that is now operated by the third generation of the Vivona Family. Antonio Vivona founded the company in 1939, with the purchase of the Ferris Wheel at the conclusion of the New York World’s Fair. Fifty seven years later, in 1995, the company was recognized by the Guinness Book of World’s Records as the “world’s largest traveling amusement park."
Amusements of America is dedicated to its comprehensive safety and maintenance program. During the off-season, all equipment is transported to the company’s fully equipped maintenance facility in South Carolina. There, equipment is refurbished for the upcoming season. Once on the road, local and state safety officials inspect the equipment each week. In addition, supervisors perform in-house daily inspections before opening to the public. Amusements of America has several staff members that have been certified by the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (NAARSO) who are on-site at all times to ensure proper and safe operation.
