The 2017 Saratoga County Fair is looking for individuals to compete in the Annual Talent Competition, Lego Competition, Baking Contest, Pie Eating & Donut Eating Contest.
The 2017 Saratoga County Fair “Start to Star” Talent Show will be held from July 18-23. Individual, duet or group act entries need to be submitted by July 8 in the categories of music, dance, gymnastics, comedy, magic and storytelling. It is quite the amazing feat for young talent to show courage and confidence with a stage presence. For some, talent shows are the start to a future career. In this case, winners from July 22 and 23 will advance to the State Fair Competition. The Lego Competition theme for 2017 is again “A Day at the Fair”. Lego consists of colorful interlocking plastic bricks accompanying an array of gears, figurines called “minifigures” and various other parts. There is no entry fee. However, you must pay ￼￼￼￼ regular admission to the fair. All entries must be labeled and form completed. The Lego creation must be brought to the Trustco Talent Building between 10am – 12 noon on Wednesday, July 19.
The King Arthur Flour Maple Oat Muffin Baking Contest, cosponsored by Maple Valley Farm, is open to all ages. The entry fee is $2.00 to enter 5 muffins on a sturdy disposable plate. Entries close on July 8 at 5pm and can be made online at www.saratogacountyfair.org. Entries made in the wrong class will be disqualified. Prizes include: 1st place: $75 gift certificate to the Baker’s Catalogue/ kingarthurflour.com plus one quart of Maple Valley Farm pure maple syrup, 2nd place: $50 gift certificate to the Baker’s Catalogue/ kingarthurflour.com, and 3rd place: King Arthur Flour Logo Canvas Tote Bag. All winners will also receive a gorgeous ribbon.
The Pie Eating Contest will be held on Friday & Saturday at 1pm at the Grandstand Meadow. The Donut Eating Contest will be held on Thursday & Sunday at 1pm at Grandstand Meadow. For more information on other Kids Stuff, click here.

Ballston Spa, NY -- JM Motorsport Productions invades Ballston Spa on Thursday, July 20 at 7:30pm and Sunday, July 23 at 7:00pm when the World’s Largest Demolition Derby comes to the Saratoga County Fair.
The Derby on July 20th features compact cars, mini vans and regular cars as well as a “last chance” event for non-qualifying passenger cars. July 23rd is the Championship Demolition Derby; with the winner receiving $500 and a championship trophy.

Ballston Spa, NY – The 176th Saratoga County Fair is just over one month away, to be held on July 18-23, 2017 at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds. Newly announced entertainment includes the only touring "Lumber Jill" show in North America known as The AXE Women Loggers of Maine. This high-energy show set to today's top rock music hits features ladies who are world champions in logging and emphasizes the nature and difficulty of the sport, as well as focus on its beginnings and historical significance.
The Axe Women team handles every single detail of these world class performances, including load-in and load-out with their self-contained aesthetic sets from their 26' trailer, which acts as a backdrop for the event. The Axe Women are sponsored by Stihl of Virgina Beach, VA and Logrite of Vernon, CT, which provide state-of-the-art logging sports equipment necessary to compete in championships around the world, and to produce this touring exhibition.

Ballston Spa, NY – The summertime tradition continues as plans are starting to take shape for the 176th Anniversary season of the Saratoga County Fair held on July 18-23, 2017.
The 2017 Saratoga County Fair will offer seven stages of entertainment from all over the Country, animal displays domestic to exotic, six nights of exciting competition in the WGNA-National Grid Grandstand with two nights of Pro Rodeo, two nights of Demo Derby, plus Modified tractor Pulls, and a day full of four wheel drive truck pulls.
The FOX23-Coors Light Live Music Pavilion will feature great live music 11AM to 11PM (and sometimes later) for all six days of the Fair. Craft Beer and Wine fans will be offered our special private label Judging Stand Ale and our private label Saratoga County Fair wine, both produced in Saratoga County for us by local manufacturers, and available in the Live Music Pavilion.
There will also be four new food vendors this year offering Bacon Bombs to Brats, as well as all your favorite traveling restaurants returning.
